What Is Humic Acid?
All of Master Gardners Liquid Fertilizers are made with Humic Acid –
Our Humic Acid is extracted from Leonardite. Leonardite is naturally occurring hydrocarbon shale formed in the earth over millions of years by chemical and biological decomposition of prehistoric plant and animal matter. Humic Acid benefits Microbial activity is increase in the root zone that can lead to a more vibrant plant. Humic Acid acts as a chelater that will help plants better assimilate nutrients. The benefits of greater nutrient uptake can lead to increased plant vigor and in turn a more bountiful harvest.
Why Use Humic Acid?
Today, there is a recognized and increasing use of humic acids for their beneficial impact on the growth and cultivation of crops (vegetable & non-vegetable), citrus, turf, and flowers. Humic acid is not a fertilizer as it does not directly provide nutrients to plants, but is a compliment to fertilizer SO it is added to all our blends.
