Woven
Woven Fabrics are made from a continuous sheet of polypropylene film that is slit into yarns. In general, weaving involves taking the slitted film yarn and interfacing them at right angles to each other.
nWoven landscape fabrics have a high percentage of open areas which is distinct, uniform and measurable openings in the fabric. This assures that both water and soil particles have a direct path through the fabric.
n To reduce the open area of these woven fabric, a top layer of fiber is sometimes needled (sewn) into the fabric to increase durability, blocking more light while continuing to provide exceptional strength. We call this Yard Tek Woven Plus. This is much stronger than that of a flat bond or point bond, but the cost is greater.
